A reasonably nearby major company that might hire people like me is Xerox, the ersatz document duplicator firm. Trying to find its job board turns up an interesting fact: there are two of them.
There is the Taleo site, accessible here: https://xerox.taleo.net/careersection/xerox_shared_external_portal/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en
And then there is this other front end: http://xerox.jobs/
For some reason, this other front end (the .jobs one) contains the same information as the Taleo site. Compare this posting with its twin on Taleo. They are the same down to the messed up formatting of each. Why can’t the .jobs one just redirect to the Taleo site (which, by the way, has much better search functions) instead of duplicating the content and, for that matter, the maintenance required?
