Death and the Chamber of Commerce

I had, and subsequently lost, a little pamphlet from the old chamber of commerce.

For non-Anglosphere readers, I’ll explain that a “chamber of commerce” (rarely “business-men’s association”) is the nearly universal name of a group of people who run businesses and get together in order to talk about their businesses, promote the place and lobby government.

The place I live currently is very dead. There was once a chamber of commerce and some manufacturing, but it has since completely dried up and the organization disappeared.

This pamphlet was OLD. Old enough to have been typeset and put out on a printing press. Fortunately it wasn’t spirituous duplicate, but it was entirely old. It had an aerial photograph that was actually taken from an airplane! Ofcourse everything was in black and white.

If I still had it I would post pictures of it. Sorry.
